The general temperatures drop as low as 60F and exceed 110F during summers. These places experience very little rains and hence sulcatas are excellent burrowers.

Russian Tortoise Habitat: Russian tortoises are found in central Asian countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan and parts of Iran. The climate of this region is variable and very harsh. The summers are very hot and dry while the winters are extremely cold. Russian tortoises have adapted themselves to live in their habitats and can remain borrowed for most of the times. They may emerge only during the spring to breed and feed when the food is available.

Leopard Tortoise Habitat: The habitat for Leopard tortoise is the African continent. They are typically found in the areas with dry or semidry climates. They prefer living in areas with a lot of grass for feeding.

Red Eared Slider Habitat: The habitat for Red eared slider has a large natural range. They are found in US in parts of Indiana, Georgia and Alabama. The habitat is very diverse in size, content and locations. It ranges from mud holes of a few gallons in a grassy drainage ditch to barren looking farm ponds, streams, lakes and rivers. They prefer quiet waters with aquatic vegetation and good basking sites.
