Cat Car Accidents

Fractures and internal injuries caused by cars and other vehicles need the immediate attention of the veterinary surgeon.
First, remove the cat from the path of traffic. Slide it on to a blanket or coat and drag it to the side of the road or street. Remember, the animal may try to bite or scratch, so take precautions.
First control the bleeding and then examine the cat carefully for possible fractures.
