Basic fish requirements:

1. Fish tank/ Aquarium: It is the major requirement of fishes. It is difficult for fishes to survive without fish tank or aquarium. Fish tank should be the first thing on your list when you are thinking of fish requirements. It provides housing to fishes therefore it is essential to provide. Moreover it helps in making them feel comfortable and secure.
2. Aquarium filters: It is important for one to keep filters in their aquarium as it helps in sustaining water quality of your tank. Filters also help in consuming over feed of the fishes from the surface of the tank. It is necessary to maintain filter for its efficient working. One should change the carbon of filters every month to make it work more efficiently.
3. Fish feed: The quality and quantity of feed that one should offer to his fishes is entirely reliant on the type of fish he own. Generally, fishes are fed twice a day however, it is important for owner to maintain regular diet schedule for his fishes.
4. Aquarium water heater: Some types of fishes require warm water to survival. Therefore, owner should keep water heater in their aquarium if they own that type of fish.
5. Aquarium aerator: This is one of the essential requirements of fishes. Aerator in aquarium is used to blow oxygen inside the tank for fishes to breathe. It is mandatory for all types of fishes.
6. Tank mates: Fishes require someone to accompany them therefore; owner should make sure that his tank contains enough mates to accompany his fish. If fishes would be kept alone in a tank for long period of time then there are chances that they can get stress. Moreover, loneliness can cause death as well. You can provide decoration piece, plants, pebbles, marvels, gravel, stones and other fishes to accompany your fish.

Owner should follow the water change program regularly in order to increase longevity of their fishes. It is because untidy water can be the reason of your fish‘s death. In addition, it is essential for one to provide proper lighting system in their aquarium.
