Frog Ailments
Fungal skin diseases are perhaps the most common ailment of this group, and these can be caused by overcrowding, foul water, incorrect feeding or bad ventilation. You should check each of these possible causes and remedy them immediately if any of them is at fault. Contact your veterinary surgeon, too, to investigate medication for the problem.
Abrasions may be treated by antibiotic powder or an iodine solution such as Betadine, and a disease known ad redleg (reddening of the inside hindleg), peculiar to frogs, will often responds to antibiotics.
Anurans will thrive in damp conditions; never exposed any pet of this group to a direct heat source, including direct sunlight , or it will quickly start to fail.
