Natural Treatment Dog Warts
Dog warts are common in older dogs. Young dogs mainly develop on the lips or on the mouths. They appear to be whitish or pinkish cauliflower shaped eruptions. The dog breeds that are mainly of the victims of warts are the cocker spaniels, poodles and similar other breeds. These breeds of dogs tend to develop a dozen of warts. They usually appear in stocks on the skin surface and appear like a chewing gum.
The warts are caused due to virus and they especially develop in animals having poor immune system. The warts developed in young puppies and vanish after they receive immune strengthening vaccinations. Whereas, in older dogs the cause of the development of warts is receiving of vaccination for years. The following are some effective means by which you can help your dog recover from the viral disorder.
- Keep your dog under fast for few days. To promote rapid detoxification you may use laxatives or enemas. Some of the good internal cleansers include lemon juice, coffee enemas and liquid chlorophyll.
- Try to acidify the body of your pet. Add apple cider vinegar to its water. You may also replace one third of the water with unsweetened cranberry juice.
- If you find your pet to be a victim of series of wart eruptions, you may add orthophosphoric acid in the water.
- Include good quantity of garlic to the diet of the dog.
Topical application of lemon juice, poultice of chopped raw onion, for fifteen minutes daily will also help to reduce the incidence of warts. Application of a paste of castor oil and baking soda is also effective. Putting a used black tea bag on the wart surface will reduce the warts to a great extent.
