Neutered Cats Become Fat and Lazy
Several things happen to tom cats that have been neutered. They no longer mate, caterwaul, wander, spray or brawl — all things associated with their sexual maturity. They will be less apt to hunt, kill or climb, robe aggressive to strangers or those in the household - all things not directly associated with their sexual maturity.
But they only become fat and lazy if we do not replace those behaviors with other suitable substitutes. Exercising with a human friend or an animal.
Playmate is necessary. In addition, toms whose energy decreases after neutering should be given about 30 percent less food than they ate before the surgery.
