Newts and Salamander Feeding

Salamandridae are, in the main, nocturnal and in the evening hours will delight in seeking out the tidbits which you have provided.

Worms, small insects, small spiders and chopped lean beef or liver once a week would prove excellent dirt. But slugs, caterpillars and woodlice will also be welcomes as will greenfly. The large salamander will eat a small mouse and newts and salamanders will consume with relish such foods as brine shrimp, white worm, tubifex and small earthworms which should be readily available from your pet store.
