Flying fox fish is mostly found in Bomeo and Sumatra and belongs to the Epalzeorhynchos Kalopterus family. This fish is also known as Kuonobarbi and is a freshwater aquarium fish. The body of this fish is long with a flat abdominal area. It is a relatively calm fish; however it tends to get more aggressive as it ages. The back of flying fox fish is love and dark brown whereas the lower part of the fish is yellowish white. They have reddish tinged irises in the eyes. The idle temperature for this fish is between 22 and 17 degrees Celsius. They like to feed on crustaceans, dried food, plant matter and insects. This fish doesn’t usually breed when kept in aquarium or tank.
