The parrot fish is a member of scaridae or scarus family and is mostly found in the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. Parrot fish forms a parrot-like beak with which they rub algae from coral and rocky substrates. There are several different types of parrot fish and the maximum size varies extensively within the family. Generally, the parrot species can grow up to 30 to 40 cm in length.
