However, some turtle require wood to acrylic tank to stay in. the tank of turtle should be according to turtle’s requirements. Make sure that the turtle enclosure is properly ventilated so that they can breathe properly. It is important for owner to maintain cleanliness in his turtle enclosure in order to prevent it from diseases. Turtles are very messy animal therefore its enclosure should be cleaned in every 45 days. The temperature of turtle should be maintained properly. the ideal temperature of turtle enclosure is 70 – 80 ° Fahrenheit
2. Turtle food: It is significant for owner to provide healthy and nutritional food to his turtle. Different species require different food to survive. Such as river cooters require composed plants and map turtle need animals in their diet. You can serve basic food such as leafy vegetables and berries to your herbivore turtle. Small fish, snail, earthworms and live crickets to carnivore turtle. It is a good idea to serve commercial food to your pet turtle. You can also include supplements to your pet turtle diet. Supplements such as vitamins, calcium, phosphorous are good for turtle.
3. Turtle lights: UVA and UVB lights should be provide to turtle in its enclosure. These lights are important for turtle because it helps them in absorbing calcium properly. It is advisable not to keep turtle enclosure directly under the sun light as sun rays can lead to algae growth.
