Rock pebbler pigeon are very popular as pet because of their beautiful looks. Scientifically they are known as polytelis anthopeplus and are usually found in southwest and southeast regions of Australia. These pigeons are also known as – Regent parrot, back tailed parakeet¸ marlock parakeet, smoker and regent parakeet. They require meager care and maintenance. They love to be around people therefore they make a good pet.

1. Handling rock pebbler pigeon: It is important for owner to provide hygienic environment to their pet rock pebbler pigeon. Their perches, floor and toys should be clean once in every week. Make sure that clean the house of your rock pebble pigeon regularly.
The food you serve to your pet pigeon should be fresh and clean. They should be kept alone for some time as at times they love being alone. Since these pigeons love to chew so things should be provided to them for chewing. They require equal amount of care like other pigeons. It is important for one to handle them properly.
2. Food for rock pebbler pigeon: It is important for owner to provide healthy food to his pigeon. You can serve copped mixture to your large rock pebbler pigeon. Food such as egg, fruits, vegetables, sprouting seeds and insects can be included in rock pebbler pigeon diet. Grit should only be served at the prescription of he veterinarian. 4. Breeding rock pebbler pigeon: After the mating process, female rock pebbler pigeon will lay four to six eggs in his nest. Their eggs will take 21 days to hatch and 40 days to fledge. Adult rock pebbler pigeons will take proper care of the baby rock pebbler pigeon. You should serve normal food to them during this period. After five weeks baby rock pebbler pigeon will begin to fly. It is important for you to provide healthy food and proper environment to the baby and adult rock pebbler pigeons.
