Tips for caring a new born puppy

caring a new born puppyDuring the first three weeks of the life of the pups, a good mother takes care of all aspects, including feeding and cleaning.
After three weeks, gradual weaning may be started to avoid excessive strain on the mother. Small pieces of toasted bread, wheat porridge, cow’s milk and some baby foods like Farex are some of the best foods to give.
When the pups are about four weeks old, boiled vegetables with rice, properly mashed together, should be introduced as one of the meals.
At six weeks of age, the pups should get food from external feeding only, as by that time; the mother may be getting tired of feeding the pups. The pups should be fed four meals a day: two consisting of milk with porridge or chapatti, one comprising boiled vegetables and rice, and the fourth one should be a mixture of milk mixed with cereals.
