Dog Inflammation

Orchitis means inflammation of one or both of the testicles. You can often tell that a dog feels pain in the testicles by the way he moves about. He walks wills his hind legs spread slightly, giving stiffness to his gait. If an infection sets in, the testicle may have to be opened and drained. The scrotum may also be infected. All injuries and abscesses in this area arc extremely painful to the dog, and any pain-deadening agent is a humane adjunct to treatment. Your veterinarian one sterility-causing disease, bordellos, may be diagnosed by a blood test.

Inflammation of the vagina (agonists) is usually accompanied by similar inflammation of the vulva, which becomes unduly red, much as it does when the bitch is in heat. In ordinary agonists there is a discharge of a whitish nature. A good deal of licking is done by the bitch and she strains to urinate because the inflammation partially closes the urethral orifice. Urination probably causes a burning sensation; so that only small amounts are voided .Vaginal infection may be caused by injuries to the vulva. Curious children have been known to insert sharp objects into the vaginas of hitches. Bullet wounds cause trouble. Bird shot sometimes penetrates the skin and lodges in the vaginal lining, where it sets up severe irritation until it is removed. The vulva is also subject to neoplasm's. Barbed-wire cuts are not uncommon. There may be damage from biting wounds when bitches fight with other dogs or from automobile accidents.

With adequate surgery these injuries may be repaired quite easily.

Dog Inflammation Symptoms

The following are the symptoms that your dog would show up in case it is suffering from testical or vaginal inflammations.

  • The affected dog would be often seen shrugging its tail in order to excrete urine.
  • Your dog would also attempt for going to toilet for urination.
  • The urine would also have small amounts of blood.
The inflammation takes place due to the incidence of the bacteria that enters inside the urethra. The urethra is the duct that releases the urine located inside the penis or the vagina which leads to the urinary bladder. Due to the occurrence of the infection the urethra becomes swollen leading to the narrowing down of the passage through which the urine flows. This results the blockage of the free flow of the urine.

You are recommended to take your pet dog to a proper vet cline for diagnosis and treatment in case it shows up the above mentioned symptoms. On taking your dog to a vet clinic the doctor would at first take samples of urine and test for blood cells, the ph level of the urine and the level of glucose in the urine. If traces of blood cells are found in the urine it indicates the inflammation of penis or the vagina and a need for cystitis come up. The glucose content in the blood would indicate that your dog is probably suffering from diabetes. The high ph level in the urine shows insufficient amount of acid compounds that would help to destroy the foreign bodies or the bacteria.
