Four Eyed Fish information

  • The foueyed fish whose scientic name is Anableps anableps id essentially a carnivour fish.
  • The fish should be fed with frozen dried food and very small live inscets. The fosh also prefers to eat frozen food items like the brine shrimp, and the bloo0d worms. In spite on being fed by the above mentioned food the fish would rather move down at the bottom of the tank and devour food from there.
  • To keep you the water of the aquarium clean and uncontaminated the left over food that would accumulate at the base of the aquarium should be cleaned properly as the left over food might become foul and make the water inappropriate to live in. The water should also be changed on a regular basis.
  • The fish would adapt well with the tank which is completely filled with water but ideally the fish tank should be half filled.
  • The fish needs ample of space to swim around and are good jumpers. So, you are advised to keep the fish tank well covered.
  • The natural habitat of the fish is the mouth of the rivers so you are required to maintain the type of water which is brackish in nature. In fact you are recommended to learn how to prepare the ideal tank water for the fish to stay in.
The fish is actually native to the Central American content. They are mainly foun in the river mouths in the countries like Brazil and Venezuela. This type of fish is peaceful in nature and may stay in a community tank of similar sized brackish water fish breeds. The fish should not be kept with small varieties that can easily fit in their mouth.
