Its body is of brown color and is roofed with dark brown blotches of different sizes. It is interesting to note that underside of the body of this fish is darker. This feature is exactly the opposite of those fish that swim with their belly downwards. This opposite coloration helps to hide it when it swims at the surface of the water.
