- Demand feeders – Demand feeders are started by stock behaviour. In a few cases demand feeders are a reason to cause difference in fish stock sizes. It is believed that the smaller fish are refrained by larger fish from feeding. In case of demand feeders you should check regularly for uneaten feed. This stops pest infestation. These feeders are very useful in feeding the stock they can be a good choice depending on your demand.
- Pneumatic feeders - These mechanical feeders are slightly different from demand feeders. They use air pressure in delivering stock. If you feed frequently do not use pneumatic feeding because it takes long time to build air pressure between feeds. But when considering its advantages it is very reliable feeder and does not break down very often. There are also other types of feeders such as belt feeder and time feeders.
