The scientific name for the Golden butterfly fish is “Chetdon semilarvatus”, is also known as “yellow butterfly fish” and “Redlined butterfly fish”. It is commonly found in areas with prolific coral growth. It is a strikingly colored fish its body has a yellow hue and contrasting black vertical stripes. This is an egg-laying species that form pairs during breeding. Very little is known about its breeding behavior.
