Horse Floats

Horse floats is a new invention for transfer of horses. In this floating system, horse is transferred safely with quality workmanship and minimum amount of stress.

Horse floats are also called as a horse trailers. Floating of horses has taken the horse transport to a new height. Horse float should be comfortable for the horses. It should be water proof as well as dust proof.

    1. Your horse should be given proper training about entering a horse float.
    2. Putting a rope on the head of the horse will help.
    3. Tying one end of rope to the float and make the horse to run in the horse float.
    4. Push the horse in the horse float by getting behind him.
    5. By providing feeding material and water in the horse float.

      Dangerous tie points for horses in the horse floats:

      1. When horses are tied too close to rear of the float.
      2. When horses are tied to handle of the personnel door. It may result in pulling back the horse.
      3. Horse when hooked around the spare wheel may result in pull back.
      4. A chain used to tie a horse is not strong; it may result in the horse getting underneath while traveling.
      5. Bum bar should be strong to bear the strength of the horse, when they smash their head or legs on the side of the surface.

        Care to be taken while driving a horse floats:

        1. Drive very slowly.
        2. Put breaks very slowly.
        3. In traffic always be 30m away from other vehicles.
        4. Follow all the road and traffic rules.
        5. While taking turns, be careful.
        6. Drive straight so that it will not affect the stability of horses.

          Points to be considered before purchasing new horse float:

          1. It should be capable of providing all the individual requirements.
          2. The design of the horse float should be compact and flexible.
          3. It should be durable and strong.
          4. Its maintenance cost should be very low.
          5. It should not vibrate in any situation.
          6. It should be sealed and painted properly.
          7. It should make the horse and driver to feel comfortable.
          8. It must have all standard equipment needed while transfer of horses.
          9. It should also gain some value at the time of sale. Thus, this above highlights explains about the horse floats. If the horses are trained properly for the floating, they will never say ‘NO’ for horse float floating.
