Jaf Horse
Origin: Iran - Kurdistan.

Height: Usually over 15hh, but it can vary.
Color: Chestnut, bay, brown, gray; occasionally black.
Character: Courageous, intelligent; both gentle and fiery.
Physique: Very attractive Oriental saddle horse of Arab type. A tough, wiryhorse, typical of the sort bred in a harsh mountain/desert terrain. Hard feet.Like the Darashouri, it has great powers of endurance.
Description: Jaf horse is has its origin in Kurdistan where the horse is admired for its strong & sturdy desert appeal. The horse gives a slight image of Arab influence over its appearance. It is famous in United Arab Emirates for fundraiser or benefit horse shows.
Of all the other varieties of horse that are available, it is quite easy to identify the Jaf variety. This is mainly due to its physical traits that are very peculiar. One can easily make a difference as the characteristic that it exhibits are remarkably different from the rest of the true breed and cross breed varieties.
