It is important for one to know the habitat needs of their reptile. It is because arboreal reptiles require a tall cage whereas terrestrial reptile requires smaller one and semi aquatic reptiles require deep cage. It totally depends on the requirement of owner to have moveable or unmovable reptile cage. If you want to move it from time to time then you can construct moveable cage otherwise you can construct unmovable one.

It is significant for an owner to incorporate heat conducting material in the reptile cage as they require heat. It is a good idea to use wood over glass or acrylic as it is versatile, insulated and easy to work with. One can also use Plexiglas for reptile cage construction as it is strong and holds in heat. The top of your cage should be designed in such a way so that it can permit light access. Keep in mind that the cage you design should be properly ventilated so that reptile can have fresh air to breathe.

Reptiles should not be kept free in home as they can create chaos in your home therefore, it is important to provide reptile cage to them.
