Some lizards love to bask on branches close to the source of the artificial heat provided to them by heat lamps. Just take care that the branches are not too close to the heat lamps as they may burn themselves out. Heat rocks not advisable-as they get heated very fast and may do more harm to your reptile than good.

Flooring- The terrarium flooring should be clean. People usually put carpets as they can be cleaned easily. Some people also use sand, white sheets of paper and rabbit pellets. When you choose to put some substrate see to it that you do not use stuff which is harmful for your pets. Because as he eats the insects a few particles are bound to enter his mouth and if it is harmful stuff like wood shavings or corn bobs it may be injurious to your reptile.

Calcium sand- Calcium sand makes a perfect reptile accessory and is highly beneficial for your pet too. The bearded dragons are safe with it but hatchling beardie might be injured if it happens to ingest a greater amount of sand with its food.

Carpeting the floor- Usually carpets are best suited for our reptile as the hassles of cleaning are greatly reduced. So accessories can include carpet preferably green which gives the look of a natural habitat, a resin rock to bask upon and a grape vine to bask upon will make your reptile happy.

UVA lamps and heat lamps- It is pointless to mention that lamps play a major role in maintaining the atmosphere of the terrarium. Lamp is the accessory which cannot be skipped.
