Moreover, no scientific technique is invented to determine the gender of a reptile. Gender of some reptiles like lizard and turtle is determined by genotype. While the gender of other species is determined by the ambient temperature of the area in which their eggs are in during certain period of time. You can also determine gender by some kind of probe, radiograph or x -ray. It is a good idea to ask the sex of your reptile from an expert.
  2. Reptile breeder should know the way of raising a reptile to maturity. Some reptiles cannot reproduce until it reaches to maturity. Ensure that your reptile has a healthy food, comfortable habitat, stays in good health and all essential supplies. Breeder should not force reptiles to eat if they don’t want to be. Ensure that the breeding reptile is mature and healthy.
  3. Reptile breeder should fulfill all the necessary requirements of a female reptile before it will lay eggs. Mature reptile requires some clean soil its habitat wherein it feels contented in burying its eggs. It is recommended to reptile breeders to use large bin for breeding purpose. Breeder should fill that half bin with sand and half with moist potting soil. The temperature should be maintained between 85-90° Fahrenheit. Reptile breeder should provide all the essential resources to a reptile for the breeding process. After few days you will notice eggs.
  4. After this eggs are incubated in vermiculite to provide ideal temperature to reptile. One should gently hold those eggs as they are soft. Try to maintain a constant temperature as sex is determined by temperature. Keep a close eye at the eggs until it hatch.
