Ghent Cropper: A pigeon with amazing beauty and soft look. The feather muffs of this enchanting pigeon extend to its feet. This pigeon is often noticed in soft colors of light brown, grey, white, cream, etc. The existence of this pigeon is a result of numerous years of selective breeding. It is a marvelous pigeon to be kept as a pet.

Old German Cropper: Old German Cropper is yet another result of selective pigeon breeding. This is one of the rare species of pigeon whose head is most of the times difficult to locate. At times people also call it a headless freak. This is an amazing pigeon as a special pet.

Saxon Fairy Swallow: Yet another exceptionally beautiful pigeon breed which can be kept as an amazing pet is Saxon Fairy Swallow. The body of this pigeon breed is enrobed with beautifully colored muffs. They have also been given the name of wing pigeons and spot swallow. Mostly they are seen with feet covering muffs but rare are those pigeons which come clean legged.

Barb Pigeon: You can also address a barb pigeon as an English barb. Yet another name which one can give it because of its appearance is Shakespeare. They have a noticeably short beak and a rounded head. Sometimes people also call them as whiskered pigeons. Their profuse feathers and frilled feather pants make them stand above a common pigeon.

Jacobin Pigeons: If you want to come across one of the weirdest pigeon breed then the best suggestion would be to have a look at Jacobins. This feather hooded pigeon has a peculiar habit of keeping its face covered and if you are lucky enough then you might have a glace at its face once in a day. If you are a novice pigeon keeper then probably you should not enter into domestication of this specie.

Flying Tumbler: A little smaller than the racing pigeons but of course large than a dove, the flying tumbler can be seen in a variety of soft and bold contrast colors. If you are a novice in pigeon keeping then probably this is the best option. This no hassle free bird is a tremendous acrobat and performs amazing somersaults in the windy days.

Remember, whichever breed you tame, just go through all the specie specific requirements regards to feeding, nesting, mating, etc. Also keep in mind that you need to provide your pet with a nesting box spacious enough to spread its wings and make small flights.
