Rabbit Scouring
In a rabbit suffering from scours, the excreta is fluid.Scouring should not be confused with the passing of faecalpellets which are softer than usual. Probably the commonestcause of scouring is an inflammation of the large intestine orthe caecum.
The only treatment, apart from endeavouring to trace andeliminate the cause of the trouble is to change the food, but notsuddenly, to one having the reverse effect. It is often statedthat water should be witheld when an animal scours, but thisis never wise.
